MSU Extension is a statewide educational outreach network that applies unbiased, research-based university resources to practical needs identified by the people of Montana in their home communities. The MSU Extension Service is an educational resource which is dedicated to improving people's lives by providing research-based knowledge to strengthen the social, economic, and environmental well-being of families, communities and agricultural enterprises.

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Closed Noon-1:00)

Montana 4-H is the youth development program of Montana State University Extension services. 4-H is the largest out-of-school youth development program in the state, reaching nearly 20,000 youth each year. 4-H offers more than 200 different projects and learning experiences. Judith Basin county is home to three 4-H Clubs serving over 100 youth county-wide. The 4-H fair is held annually in the last week of July and continues to grow each year.

The Extension Office is a hub of information for Agriculture, Home & Consumer Sciences, Financial Planning, Health & Wellness and Business resources. We offer forage testing, weed and bug identification, well water testing, soil analysis, pesticide applicator training, gardening, food preservation, estate planning tools, youth development, animal health, small business and agriculture related financial tools in addition to many other resources covering a wide range of areas.
